CCC 9/15

Combining the versatility of our CJ 11 preamp with the dual 6V6/EL84 power section of the JRT 9/15, the CCC 9/15 delivers an impressive range of classic tones inspired by low wattage U.S. and UK designs pioneered in 1950s and 60s. Inspired by the iconic 1950s-era 1×12 tweed combo, which features a single tone control limited to treble frequencies, the CCC 9/15 preamp takes it further with both treble and bass filters, along with a master volume and boost circuit. The added bass control allows for fine-tuning of lower frequencies, enhancing clarity and increasing headroom when the amp is driven into saturation, which is crucial for lower-wattage circuits used at live performance levels. The inclusion of a master volume and boost enables the CCC 9/15 to deliver a wide range of drive tones, from a subtle edge-of-breakup to moderate overdrive and full saturation, all at manageable volumes while retaining touch sensitivity and sonic integrity. A standout aspect of the CCC 9/15 is its capacity to toggle between 9 watts, powered by a pair of 6V6 tubes in Class A, producing the smooth, full-bodied tones typical of classic 1950s American amplifiers, and 15 watts with a duo of EL84 tubes in Class AB, offering a crisp, shimmering high-end and intricate, musical distortion reminiscent of 1960s British models. The tonal qualities and dynamic response, combined with the adaptable volume levels of these two output modes, make the CCC 9/15 exceptionally versatile for various performance and studio settings.

BTR 23

The UK has churned out an impressive stable of unique amp designs, each as distinctive as the bands that have used them to great effect. One stellar example is recognized for its distinct “chime”, organic overtones and compression when pushed into overdrive at higher volumes. Another classic is the renowned 50 and 100 watt heads that defined the sound of the ’60s, delivering unmatched midrange punch, throaty drive, and deep low-end when paired with the 4×12 cabinets that often accompanied them on stage. Rounding out this British trifecta is a KT88-equipped beast, synonymous with immense volume and a fast, percussive attack, providing vast output that imparts minimal tonal coloration. Drawing from the legacy of these iconic amplifiers, the BTR 23 offers a unique hybrid voicing that merges the finest qualities of each design. Its dedicated treble, mid, and bass controls, along with a specialized pull-boost circuit, allow you to shape the tonal character and overdrive response of each classic model while blending elements of the others to create the ideal tone. Powered by a pair of KT88 tubes for robust output, the amp’s versatile master volume ensures a full range of saturated textures can be achieved, regardless of volume.

JRT 9/15

The JRT 9/15 captures the legendary tones of classic low watt American and British amplifiers, enhanced by dual-voiced preamp circuits, each powered by a 5879 pentode. With the ability to switch between 6V6 and EL84 power tubes, it offers a versatile blend of both iconic sounds and unique hybrid textures, all easily accessible through its intuitive controls. The JRT 9/15 preamp drives two 5879 pentodes in tandem, each with its own independent volume control. These circuits are voiced for dramatically different responses: one provides more top-end presence and later breakup, while the other offers lower headroom with an emphasis on low-mid frequencies, delivering a dense, rich tone. These complementary channels can be used individually or simultaneously to achieve the ideal response, highlighting the best qualities of each. A 6-position tone control ensures just the right amount of body and texture, while the cut control reduces harsh upper frequencies as needed, retaining strong presence and definition. A key feature of the JRT 9/15 is its ability to switch between 9 watts, utilizing a pair of 6V6 tubes in Class A to deliver the warm, rich tones of vintage 1950s American amps, and 15 watts with a pair of EL84 tubes in Class AB for a bright, chimey top-end and complex, musical breakup, reminiscent of 1960s British designs. The tonal and response characteristics, along with the volume flexibility of these two output options, make the JRT 9/15 versatile enough for a wide range of performance and recording environments.

CJ11

Drawing from the iconic 50’s era 1×12 tweed combo from Fullerton that created the quintessential “American” guitar sound, the CJ 11 elevates this classic with enhanced tone shaping, mid/gain pull boost circuit, improved output performance, and the addition of a master volume, all while maintaining the original design’s signature appeal.

In contrast to the original’s setup of a single tone knob and dual inputs with individual volume controls, the CJ 11 features a single channel equipped with both Treble and Bass filters, along with a Master Volume. The addition of a Bass control enables the reduction of lower frequencies when the amplifier is pushed into saturation, avoiding the muddiness and compression typical of earlier designs. However, when desired, the classic low-end response and heavy compression that define the vintage circuit are preserved at higher bass settings. With the addition of a Master Volume, the CJ 11 can deliver a range of drive tones, from a subtle edge of breakup to moderate overdrive and full “tweed-style” saturation, enhanced by the onboard boost, all at more controllable volumes than vintage models.

The CJ 11 power amp maintains the classic dual 6V6 power tube complement while upgrading the rectifier from a 5Y3 to a more robust 5AR4/GZ34. Along with an augmented power supply and custom-built transformers, this design delivers enhanced headroom, louder output, improved low-end clarity, and a broader spectrum of usable overdrive.

Although the CJ 11 builds on a classic ’50s design with thoughtful updates informed by years of experience, it preserves the essence of what made the original exceptional while offering greater versatility. With its 1×12 cabinet and a Celestion G12H speaker, the CJ 11 remains portable yet delivers performance that far exceeds what its 11 watt power rating suggests.

FTR 37

Developed with the most iconic American and UK amplifiers from the 60’s and 70’s as the inspiration, the FTR 37 features two uniquely voiced channels and all tube spring reverb to offer a broad palette of bold clean tones, gritty overdrive and smooth distortion.

Channel 1 delivers harmonically rich “UK” style overdrive, compression and sustain while Channel 2 offers the refined cleans, bounce and edge of breakup associated with the best “American” designs. The channels can be used independently or combined when used with an external ABY switch or Switchazel for the perfect blend of each circuit’s unique character and response.

Unlike traditional amp-based reverb designs, the FTR 37 can control the signal that is sent to the onboard spring tank as well as the processed signal being returned. This allows the character of the reverb to be determined independently, prior to it being mixed with the dry guitar signal. This allows for a wide range of reverb textures, from subtle to full surf drip if desired.

Equipped with a quad of 6V6 power tubes, the FTR 37 offers 37 watts of output to provide ample punch and clarity when used on large stages and outdoor performances where higher volume is required. Engaging the half-power switch reduces the output to 18 watts, allowing the power tubes to be pushed into saturation and natural compression at more manageable levels when used in smaller venues and recording sessions.

All tube spring reverb with send and return adjustment, half power option, high and low sensitivity inputs per channel and unique dual voice capability give the FTR 37 the ideal combination of traditional tone with modern functionality to cover a wide range of genres and playing environments.

AMW 39

The AMW 39 offers a versatile range of tones inspired by iconic British amps from the mid-’60s to the mid-’80s, which shaped classic rock and introduced heavier, more saturated sounds. While invoking those legendary tones, the AMW 39 adds its own character with a tighter, deeper low-end, a highly flexible midrange that captures the tonal shifts of these British amps over the decades, and crisp, defined highs without sounding harsh. This balance allows the amp to effortlessly deliver everything from pristine cleans to higher-gain overdrive.

Powered by two EL34 tubes delivering a conservatively rated 39 watts, the AMW 39 ensures a robust and balanced full spectrum of tones that easily cut through any mix. Its ample headroom ensures that your cleans stay pristine, even at higher volumes, making it an ideal platform for pedals, whether stacking overdrives or running complex effects chains. Additionally, the tube-buffered effects loop ensures seamless integration of your time-based effects while maintaining the clarity and dynamics often lost with passive loops.

Overdrive is undoubtedly a standout feature that elevates the AMW 39, much like the vintage models it draws inspiration from. The same design elements that produce rich low-end clarity, smooth top-end response, and dynamic clean tones also deliver an outstanding, percussive overdriven sound that retains focus even when pushed to higher volumes. Meanwhile, the transparent master volume allows for phenomenal driven tones at moderate volumes as well.
